Introduction

A brand does not become governed through an import.

The first useful milestone is concrete: brand truth is in the system, rules and prompts are bound, a real task runs through the governed path, and an eligible person makes the first approval.

01The four steps

To the first approval.

  1. 01

    Establish brand truth

    • Import existing OBDS material where it exists.
    • Otherwise author and ratify the required brand truth.
    • Gaps are preserved rather than filled.
  2. 02

    Configure scope and control

    • Markets and channels
    • Rules
    • Prompts and renderers
    • Approval requirements
  3. 03

    First governed run

    • One bounded real task
    • Exact context
    • Checks
    • Evidence
  4. 04

    First human approval

    • The exact stored output
    • A verified actor
    • Visible evidence
    • Only then is expansion discussed.

We name no phase labels and no durations here. Both belong in the proposal, not on a website.

What we need from you

  • Access to what applies today: guidelines, templates, claims, glossary, even where it contradicts itself.
  • A person who may decide for the brand. Without a decision there is no ratification.
  • Two or three real tasks against which scope and control are configured.
  • A willingness to leave open points open until they are decided.

What you have afterwards

  • A brand core holding approved, scoped brand truth.
  • A control layer that binds the run to rules, versions and checks.
  • An audit trail showing which basis applied and who approved.
  • Governance becomes reviewable. Content quality evaluation is a separate benchmark.

Where the approach becomes particularly relevant

Conditions under which the effort pays off. Not a statement about existing production installations.

Industrial B2B

Many technical facts, many markets, many scopes. Contradictions between catalogue, datasheet and copy otherwise surface at the customer.

Consumer portfolio

Many brands and repeated content operations. The effort sits in the repetition, not in the single piece.

Regulated communication

Evidence and approval requirements. The audit trail is part of the work, not a report afterwards.

Multi-market organisations

Scope, language and time applicability differ per market. What applies in one market does not automatically apply in the next.
